You Can Get Paid To Taste Chicken Dippers

Arguably the best job ever, right?

Birds Eye is recruiting for a 'Chief Dipping Officer' - and where do we sign up?

The brand is looking for someone with a passion for chicken dippers - and a love of sauces - to lead their “dedicated dipping department”.

The ideal candidate will have 'outstanding taste buds' and be an expert in recognising what makes 'the perfect crunch'. They'll also know the perfect sauce to dipper ratio, too.

You'll receive a salary of £1,000 - plus a year's supply of chicken dippers - simply for tasting the frozen favourites.

The successful applicant will be required to taste test a number of Chicken Dipper and sauce combinations on camera for up to four hours in total.

If you think you're the right person for the job, all you need to do is send a 250-word cover letter to [email protected] explaining why you're perfect for the role.

The Chief Dipping Officer will also get the chance to share their findings with other fanatics - such as advising on the best way to dip and trying out some of the nation’s weirdest dipper and sauce combinations. You can read the full job description here.

The newly created role comes after a study by Birds Eye found Brits have pretty strict views on how best to eat chicken dippers.

While 84 per cent believe a dipping sauce to be vital to thoroughly enjoy a chicken dipper, others were divided over 'chicken dipper etiquette'.

For example, 42 per cent think it's unacceptable to double dip, while 60 per cent believe ketchup to be the best dipping sauce.

Annalisa Fanali, Marketing Manager for Chicken Dippers at Birds Eye, comments: “It’s great to see that Birds Eye Chicken Dippers bring the nation so much joy and we are always looking for new ways to bring some magic to family meal times.

"With almost half of Brits saying they eat Chicken Dippers at least once a fortnight, we know there will be some true fans out there with some delicious and unexpected dipping secrets to share.

“We’re really excited to be on the hunt for our new Chief Dipping Officer and we’re looking forward to seeing what hopefuls think they can bring to the job, as well as providing some expert dipping tips to share with the nation.”

Time to get working on those applications!
