In this baking hot weather, the last thing you really want to do is slave away at your stove cooking a hot meal.
Well, thanks to Aldi we can feast away on a bounty of sushi – and leave our oven firmly switched off for the night.
The budget supermarket has announced the release of its foot-long sushi roll to mark the beginning of the (delayed) 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Those desperate to get their hands on the monumental and mighty meal will be happy to hear it is packed with two delicious flavourings to satisfy all tastebuds.

On one side there’s the katsu chicken variety, which is topped with black sesame seeds and crispy onions for that extra kick. Whereas on the other side, there’s a smoked salmon roll that’s sprinkled with mixed sesame seeds.
The two sides make the mammoth roll perfect for sharing (though if you’d rather have this as an extra-large lunchtime treat, we won’t judge you) – and for just £2.49, the foot long sushi roll most certainly is a bargain.
However, this catch of the day won’t be hanging around for too long.

The sushi roll is part of Aldi’s Specialbuys range, meaning it’s of limited stock – so once it’s gone, it’s really gone.
In other Aldi news, shoppers are swooning over the shop’s budget garden furniture, with their new Wicker Garden Coffee Set promising to transform even the scabbiest of gardens into an al fresco paradise.
The furniture set gives customers the perfect place to relax in the sun and consists of a contemporary 4-piece steel-framed wicker coffee set. The ultra fashionable foam seats and back cushions make the experience extremely cosy and comfortable.

And that’s not all - the glass-topped coffee table is also included in the set. Now you’ll have somewhere to keep all your chilled beverages, snacks and magazines while you’re outside.
We'll be heading to Aldi for all our furniture (and food) needs.
