Ariana Grande To Headline Manchester Pride Live In Incredible Return

Ariana Grande will be returning to Manchester on the August Bank Holiday Weekend to headline the Manchester Pride Live festival.

The Grammy and BRIT Award winner will play the LGBT+ event at Mayfield on Sunday 25 August.

She is joined by the likes of British synth-pop band Years and Years and 80s duo Bananarama and will perform a selection of songs from her Sweetener World Tour set.

There will also be DJ and dance music performances from Basement Jaxx, Faithless and Gok Wan (who knew he got behind the decks?).

Grande will perform at 9,000 capacity outdoor site, The Yard in Mayfield, near Piccadilly, while DJs will play in an indoor venue called The Depot.

Alongside the Manchester Pride Live event, The Gay Village Party will offer up a four day street party, stretching the length of the bank holiday. The festival will be comprised of an array of markets and street food stalls, as well as a number of community performances in Sackville Gardens from Liberty X, Saara Aalto and Lucy Spraggan.

Mark Fletcher, CEO of Manchester Pride, said: "This year marks a big change for the festival as it continues to evolve. Previously we had one event running over the weekend and this year we have two, each with a distinct offering.

"At Manchester Pride Live we're truly honoured to be welcoming Ariana back to the city to help us celebrate LGBT+ life. My team and I have worked hard to create a diverse lineup of performers who will join her in helping us continue to make a difference to the lives of LGBT+ people and celebrate the unity that exists in our brilliant city."

To get the most of the festival, you want to get The Rainbow Pass - which is priced at £34.50 for Saturday, £38.50 for Sunday, or £64.50 for the whole weekend - also provides unlimited weekend access to The Gay Village Party.
