Zoo Is Hosting A 'Harry Otter' Night And It Sounds Adorable
San Antonio Zoo is going the extra step for Potter fans and throwing a whole day dedicated to the film franchise (and of course otters) on Saturday, 21st December.
Really pushing the theme, the Texan zoo's 'Harry Otter and the Wizarding Wildlife' event encourages members of the public to don their house colours, or come dressed as their favourite character while they meet the mammals.
And those who dress up will be automatically placed into the zoo's costume tournament and be in with a chance of winning one of three prizes, while the first 500 guests will receive a free commemorative Harry Otter button. Honestly this is too much.
Aside from costumes and competitions, event goers will see the special fantastic beasts in their habitat while experts hold chats and encounters with the otters.
Now if only we could get a UK zoo to do the same...
Meanwhile, there was some bad news for Potter fans this Christmas as it was revealed that not one of the Harry Potter films would be shown on terrestrial television this year.
Last week, Radio Times confirmed the news with an article explaining how you can watch all the Harry Potter films on various subscription services.
"At this point, we only know of one Harry Potter film that you can watch on TV this December - but if and when that changes, we'll be updating this article," they wrote.
ITV aired the finale in the franchise on Sunday 1st December as the culmination of a three-month-long Sunday evening run of all eight movies, starting with the Philosopher's Stone on September 8th.
But all is not lost, if you're desperate to indulge in some wizarding goodness this Christmas, you can watch every film in the franchise on Now TV and Sky from 23rd December.
