Big news, guys. Jamie Lynn Spears has confirmed Zoey 101 is indeed getting rebooted.

Last year, rumours begun to swirl that the hit Nickelodeon show, which used to be fronted by Britney's younger sister, would be making a comeback.

And now Jamie Lynn has confirmed the re-make. Better late than never, eh?!

Speaking during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jamie Lynn was asked about the reboot, and confirmed there had been talks to bring it back.

"Everything and anything is on the table, whether that's a movie or a series. In all of the discussions I've had with Nickelodeon - which are in baby stages, by the way - the main thing is figuring out the right home for the reboot," she said.

Acknowledging that the show's fan base was much older now, she added: "We couldn't do it justice by putting it back on Nickelodeon, because our fanbase has grown into young adults like me, 29 or around the same age.

"We want to tell stories about where the characters are now.

"We want to connect with the fans and touch on topics that are impacting millennials, so it would have to be aged up and be more mature."

Jamie Lynn's concerns were echoed by Hilary Duff, who spoke out after the Lizzie McGuire reboot was halted amid creative differences.

Back in February, she wrote: "Was incredibly excited to launch Lizzie on D+ and my passion remains!

"However, I feel a huge responsibility to honour the fans' relationship with LIZZIE who, like me, grew up seeing themselves in her."

She added: "I'd be doing a disservice to everyone by limiting the realities of a 30-year-olds journey to live under the ceiling of a PG rating.

"It's important to me that just as her experiences as a preteen/ teenager navigating life were authentic, her next chapters are equally as real and relatable".

Hilary then urged Disney to let the show move to Hulu, should they be interested.

Anyone else dying to see what Zoey and Lizzie are up to as young adults? Make it happen, guys.
