*This article contains major spoilers for You season 2*

You might still be reeling over the You season 2 ending, but it's time to move on and turn our attention to what's next for Joe Goldberg, after actor Penn Badgley blabbed that there *would* be a third season.

Netflix dropped season two of the psychological thriller on Boxing Day, just in time for fans to binge-watch all ten episodes before the year was out.

But despite the brilliant series, we still have many, many questions. Questions that *surely* can only be answered in another instalment of the show.

And now we can rest easy knowing there will be a series three, we've rounded up all the juicy details we know so far.

What will happen in series three?

Thank goodness for Penn Badgley and his loose-lipped ways. Discussing the very moment Love (Victoria Pedretti) admitted she had murdered both Candace (Ambyr Childers) and Delilah (Carmela Zumbado), the Gossip Girl actor told Entertainment Tonight: "She doesn't appear to be the same kind of person. She doesn't appear to be the same kind of predator.

"She doesn't appear to be the same kind of... you know, dare I say, in the third season - oh, god!"

Despite apologising, backtracking and claiming he "knew nothing" about a third season, he later admitted: "Technically I can't... I mean, like, unofficially?," before nodding his head.

Do not apologise, hun.

Besides, co-creator Sera Gamble also revealed that they "have a lot of stories still to tell" in You, explaining to The Hollywood Reporter: "I am not scared at all of saying that we definitely could follow Joe for several more seasons."

We're hoping season three will answer some of the questions that have been plaguing fans since the end of the last instalment.

For example, WHO is the mystery woman living next door to Joe and Love? Some fans even think it could be Joe's mother.

Will Joe and Love make it work?

What *really* happened to Love's husband? Did she murder him, too? We wouldn't be surprised.

Is Love's baby actually Joe's? Or could the father be Milo?

What actually happened to Joe's mother? We need more details.

While in Caroline Kepnes' book sequel, Hidden Bodies, Joe ends up behind bars, Penn isn't sure.

"What does Joe need? Joe needs, ugh, Joe needs justice, but what does that mean? Does that mean prison? Does that mean death? I don't know," he said.

Who will be in series three?

While we saw Candace (sort of) return from the dead in You season 2, we doubt she'll manage to dodge death twice.

However, Sera *did* say one of her favourite things to do is bring back dead characters, so it seems anything is possible.

Joe and Love will return and there'll likely be some new faces too - including whoever Joe was peeping at through the fence.

We hope Ellie (Jenna Ortega) - who Joe sent to Florida with a wad of cash - will return, despite not existing in Caroline Kepnes' books.

Speaking to People, she said: "If I were to come back, I don't know if I would be in the first few episodes.

"I feel like I would have to be one of the [characters] like, 'Oh, look who's here, she just came up and now it's another problem for Joe'."

Yep, we can definitely see that happening.

When will season three be released?

Season one was released in September 2018 while season two aired on Boxing Day last year, so early 2021 would be our prediction.

Yes, it's a long time to wait, but oh so worth it.
