Going on a first date is nerve-wracking stuff, but what happens if the other person doesn't show up? That's exactly what happened to dental nurse Ciara when she turned up the First Dates Ireland restaurant, only to find her mystery date hadn't arrived.
In her opening video, Ciara explained how she'd been single for about a year admitting it had been "a really, really fun year."
She continued: "I love Irish lads, there's so many out there - I think that's why I don't get attached to any of them. There is just so many guys."
Ciara explained how she had a checklist of bad qualities from her previous relationship, and she wanted none of that in a future partner.
But, sadly luck wasn't on Ciara's side as sat down to enjoy a glass of prosecco while she waited for her date, she was sadly told he wouldn't be coming.

Maitre d' Mateo Saina tells her "Errrrr, we have any emergency. Your date cannot make it because he has a family emergency, so he's not coming."
"He's not coming? He's definitely not coming?" she asked, before turning to the bar and saying: "I think I'm going to need another prosecco."

Speaking to the barman she said: "But I kind of wanted to meet someone... everyone said Ciara, you might fall in love, you might. I was like, there's a one per cent chance.
"He had a family emergency... but, everything happens for a reason."
After her date that didn't turn into a date, Ciara called her mum telling her: "Mum, my date didn't show up... I've brought him a present and everything."

She continued: "Family does come first, yeah. Family does come first, if I had a family emergency, I'd be like fair enough. Fair enough, these things do happen, but you know me - I'll go out tonight and get about 10 numbers."
If that isn't the best way to handle being stood up, we don't know what is. Bravo, Ciara.
