Well that was quick! The Kissing Booth 2 only landed on Netflix three days ago and now, it's been confirmed that a third instalment is on the way.
The news was revealed on The Kissing Booth's Instagram page, where the cast filmed a cute announcement clip. You can watch it below...
And if that wasn't exciting enough, guess what? It's already been filmed! Yep! It was produced in secret alongside the sequel in South Africa, pre-pandemic. So sneaky...

During a live YouTube event with the cast yesterday, Joel Courtney (who plays Lee) explained: "We filmed two and three at the exact same time."
"It was the hardest secret to keep ever," added Joey King (who plays Elle).
And all the main cast are set to return for the third film, including Joey, Joel, Jacob Elordi, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Meganne Young and Molly Ringwald.
The second instalment dropped on Netflix on Friday - and ever since, fans had been calling for a third movie - so it certainly seems Netflix knew they were onto a good thing!
Based on the books by Beth Reekles, Kissing Booth 2 catches up with Elle Evans who has just had "the most romantic summer of her life" with bad-boy boyfriend Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi).

But their romantic bliss is rather short lived. Noah is heading to Harvard, meanwhile Elle is going back to high school, where she's about to start her senior year.
As well as trying to get into her dream college, she's also having to juggle a long-distance relationship. Added to that, a close friendship with a "handsome, charismatic new classmate named Marco" (played by Taylor Zakhar Perez) is also bringing about some complications.
The synopsis explains: "When Noah grows close to a seemingly-perfect college girl Chloe (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Elle will have to decide how much she trusts him and to whom her heart truly belongs."
Just a few days ago, Joey had appeared on the Today Show, talking about her hopes about a third film.

"Well, me and the cast have been talking and we want that so bad and we're kind of relying on the fans to help us out. They loved the first one so much and they're the reason that we got a sequel," she said.
"So if they love this one and they make it known to the world and to Netflix, our fingers are crossed that Netflix will give us a third movie because that's what we want really badly."
This must have been the most difficult secret to keep! The Kissing Booth 3 is coming 2021... the countdown is on.
