As we wait patiently for Fantastic Beasts 3, Dan Fogler has said there could be a very exciting Harry Potter appearance.
The Jacob Kowalski actor has revealed that there's one particular moment in the movie in which Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) could make an appearance.
Speaking to The Movie Dweeb, Dan explained: "I love Hagrid, who doesn't love Hagrid, man? And I always thought that there was a moment there where he's like on a date with the other giantess, and he's talking about, like, 'Well my mother was a giant and my father was a wee little man and she would put him up on the shelves...'
"And then I started thinking, what if I [Jacob] was his adopted father?
"There could be that Hagrid crossover, which would be very interesting. Is that what people are saying? I didn't know that. [Hagrid's mother] is there, and she comes to Newt and she's like, 'I have my baby boy, can you take care of him?' And Newt is like, 'Well, I'm a little busy.' And there's me and I'm like, 'Alright, I'll take care of this giant kid'. I thought that would be a fun connection there."
Rumours of whether there would be appearances from any of the Harry Potter characters have been circulating for some time and during the chat, Dan went on to explain that really, thanks to time travel, any character could pop up at some point.
He even teased an appearance from Hermione!
According to reports, production for Fantastic Beasts 3 is expected to start up again soon after shooting was postponed due to the pandemic.
It was thought that the movie would be released in November 2021, but it could be pushed back even later due to the delays in filming.
Whatever happens, we're confident this one will be worth the wait...
