When Take Me Out first graced our screens with its cheesy concept and frankly awful one-liners from Paddy McGuiness, plenty of people thought it wouldn't last the distance.

Ten years later, the ITV dating programme is celebrating an impressive decade of being on television - but how many of the couples who found love at first light after still together now?

Ella Ruby and Simon Ryan met on the 'No Likey No Lighty' show back in 2016 and are now set to become man and wife after getting engaged at a Harry Potter themed escape room in London.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Ella gushed: "I'M THE HAPPIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD! My best friend @ SimonRyan_ asked me to marry him and I literally can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with him!

"Thanks to @ lifeofbeckie & @ AdamRyan_ for being there and making it extra special! Shoutout to @ EnigmaQuests."

Funnily enough, Simon's brother Adam Ryan also met his wifey, Beckie Finch, while appearing on Take Me Out back in 2016.

The loved-up pair got engaged on the stage of west end show The Play That Goes Wrong and tied the knot in April last year.

Beckie and Adam even welcomed their first child together, Indigo Wynter Ryan, in May this year.

Considering the fact that Adam initially turned Beckie's light out and took another woman to the Isle of Fernando, the couple have done pretty well with their little family.

Helen Teiman wasn't looking for love when she enteredTake Me Out, but that's exactly what she found when she met Ricardo.

The businesswoman applied for the programme with a view to push her latex outfit brand, Amentium and planned to stay on the programme for as long as possible to showcase as many of her outfits as she could.

However, Helen was so amused by Ricardo's pint balancing performance that she forgot to turn her light off and of course he picked her, before revealing she had been his love at first light all along.

A year later, Helen has revealed they're as loved up as ever, however her stint on the ITV show didn't help her business in the way she'd hoped. At least she got a fella out of it.
