'Normal People' Actor Paul Mescal Can Sing Too – And We Actually Can't Cope

As if he hadn't stolen our hearts enough already...

Naturally, his 260,000 followers had a brief emotional meltdown, with one fan claiming she was 10 times more in love after seeing the clip. We totally get it.

Another took to Twitter to post an urgent PSA to followers, tweeting: "URGENT: Paul Mescal aka Connell from Normal People is singing and playing piano on his Instagram story and also has a tattoo."

Some fans were actually a bit miffed with Paul, insisiting that considering we love him enough already, a clip of him singing just wasn't needed.

"I'm sorry.. this man has just uploaded videos of him singing?" She tweeted.

"What is he trying to do. We are already struggling as a result of binge watching Normal people and now this!?"

And just when we thought our hearts couldn't take anymore, it turns out Paul has taken to his Instagram for a few tunes before.

In an older post from October 2018, he can be seen singing 'Always Remember Us This Way' from A Star Is Born.

"I love 'a star is born' a lil snippet from one of my favorite songs in it....excuse the dodgy piano playing," he wrote.

And it appears to run in Paul's family, with his sister, Nell Mescal, also having a beautiful voice and appearing on his Instagram grid, too.

In case you're yet to watch Normal People, the mega popular BBC series that *everyone* is talking about is based on the 2018 book of the same name by Sally Rooney.

It focuses on the story of two young adults - Marianne (Daisy Edgar Jones) and Connell (Paul Mescal) - and how they navigate their relationship.

Set in Ireland, the two meet at school, but couldn't be more different. Connell is the popular, good looking boy that everyone likes while Marianne is affluent, intelligent and quick witted.

They're an unlikely match but gradually, they begin an intense love affair filled with intimacy, passion and heartache. The series follows their journey from school to college, with viewers watching as the pair drift in and out of each other's lives.
