Netflix fans have been left terrified and unable to sleep after watching creepy horror film, Our House.

The movie, which has recently been added to the streaming platform, is a psychological horror starring Thomas Mann (Fargo, Lady and the Tramp), Nicola Peltz (Bates Motel) and Kate Moyer (The Handmaid's Tale).

The film focuses on Ethan (played by Thomas Mann) whose parents are tragically killed in a car accident.

As a result, he must leave behind his college studies and his girlfriend to take care of his younger brother and sister, Becca and Matt.

Catapulted into life as the guardian of his siblings, he's tasked with the responsibilities of raising two young children - but Ethan is also working on something else - a machine that can generate wireless electricity.

"Imagine a world where your phone never dies and appliances come without plugs. We have wireless internet so why not wireless electricity?" He says.

Much to his surprise and horror (and ours) he manages to construct a device that instead awakens dead spirits which - you guessed it - end up haunting the house and terrorising everyone in it.

"Last night, I think I saw mum and dad - you can't live in that house and not feel them," says Matt.

The siblings believe that Ethan's machine has allowed their parents to make contact, but is it their mum and dad, or are the menacing ghosts they've resurrected actually evil spirits?

Ever since the movie dropped on Netflix, fans have been quick to comment on its terrifying plot, with one admitting she would never "sleep peacefully again".

Meanwhile, one viewer said they almost had err, a little accident, after just watching the trailer.

"Netflix decided to play the add for Our House and I saw my reflection and the girl walk by and thought it was a reflection of a ghost girl in my room and I almost sh*t my pants," they wrote.

Another commented: "Our House on Netflix is soo good but scary".

I think it's fair to say we won't be watching this alone - and with all the lights firmly on! You can catch it on Netflix now.
