Fans of detective dramas, we have some excellent news: ITV has finally revealed the launch date for Van Der Valk and it's so soon!
Tweeting the news alongside a brand new publicity snap, the channel said: "New three-part detective drama series, Van Der Valk (starring Marc Warren) starts Sunday 26th April at 8pm on ITV."

Gritty drama Van Der Valk follows Simon van der Valk, a cynical yet intuitive Dutch detective.
Featuring three feature-length episodes - written by Chris Murray whose previous credits include Midsomer Murders - viewers follow the brooding detective on a series of cases in Amsterdam.
The titular character will be played by Marc Warren (Beecham House, The Good Wife, The Musketeers), while Maimie McCoy (White House Farm, A Confession) will star as Lucienne Hassell, Van Der Valk's partner.
Supporting cast includes Emma Fielding (Unforgotten), Elliot Barnes-Worrell (Dolittle), Luke Allen-Gale (Dominion), Darrell D'Silva (Informer) Frances Grey (Ordeal by Innocence), Daniel Lapaine (Catastrophe), Stephanie Leonidas (Defiance), Vineeta Rishi (Collateral), Mike Libanon (Kill Switch), Kees Boot (Judas) and Reinout Bussemaker.

Production for the drama began filming in July 2019, luckily before COVID-19 could mess anything up. Phew!
Van Der Valk is a remake of the crime drama which ran sporadically from 1972 to 1992. It starred the late Barry Foster in the lead role.
ITV also released a first-look images of the cast, showing Marc Warren, Maimie McCoy, Luke Allen-Gale, Elliot Barnes-Worrell, Darrell D'Silva and Emma Fielding all in character in the Dutch capital.
Anyone else desperately in need of a detective drama to dig your teeth into right now? This couldn't have come at a better time...
