Big news, Vampire Diaries fans. You can now get your fix of Damon and Stefan again, because the popular teen series is back on Netflix for you to binge.
Yep, we were just thinking we were running out of nostalgic TV shows to binge through lockdown, and then the streaming platform gave us a much needed February treat.
Fans have been begging for the franchise to be re-added to the platform ever since it was pulled back in November last year - with some even starting a petition to get it reinstated.
And it didn't take Netflix long to listen and take action.
Taking to social media as people spotted the show was back, the show quickly begun to trend in the early hours of the morning.
"THE VAMPIRE DIARIES IS BACK ON NETFLIX SPREAD THE WORD," wrote one excited fan as they noticed the show's return.
As another wrote: "Vampire Diaries is back on Netflix, happy February everyone".
"[First day] of Feb and Vampire Diaries is back on Netflix- this will be a good month," a third penned.
As a fourth had similar (but more extreme) sentiments, writing: "The vampire diaries being put back on netflix really has just saved the year". A bold claim in February, but we'll go with it...
In case you are one of the few who hasn't already watched all eight series' at least twice, The Vampire Diaries is an American supernatural teen drama from Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec.
The franchise - which originally aired on US channel The CW - is based on a popular series of L.J. Smith books of the same name, which landed back in 2009 and ran for 171 episodes until 2017, amassing a huge amount of fans in the process.
The series centres around two vampire brothers, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley), who both fell in love with a woman named Katherine Pierce during the time of the Civil War in America, and ended up hating each other as a result.
When they come across her doppelgänger, Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), their feelings are instantly reignited, and they both form instant connections with her, while also learning a lot about their former lover, Katherine, and their own relationship in the process.
Stars of the series also include Candice King, Kat Graham, Zach Roerig and Steven R. McQueen, as well as Matthew Davis, Michael Trevino and Joseph Morgan.
Following the show's success, spin-off The Originals launched on The CW, working on the themes and characters already developed in The Vampire Diaries.
Meanwhile, shows like The Vampire Diaries: A Darker Truth, The Originals: The Awakening and Legacies followed suit.
