Netflix Releases First Look Pictures From 'Umbrella Academy' Season 2
*This article contains The Umbrella Academy season 1 and 2 spoilers*
Yep, to whet our appetites before it lands back on screens on July 31st, the streaming platform has shared some pictures from the up-and-coming season - and we're *so excited*.
You can watch the trailer here:
The first (slightly obvious) spoiler from the new teaser pictures is that our faves are all alive! You'll remember that season one ended with the superhero family failing to stop an apocalypse.
But, following the same plot as Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá's comics, the second season will follow the family as they find themselves transported back to the 60s, and battle to change the course of history.
A teaser synopsis of the upcoming series reads: "Five warned his family (so, so many times) that using his powers to escape from Vanya's 2019 apocalypse was risky.
"Well, he was right - the time jump scatters the siblings in time in and around Dallas, Texas. Over a three year period. Starting in 1960.
"Some, having been stuck in the past for years, have built lives and moved on, certain they're the only ones who survived.
"Five is the last to land, smack dab in the middle of a nuclear doomsday, which - spoiler alert! - turns out is a result of the group's disruption of the timeline (déjà vu, anyone?).
"Now the Umbrella Academy must find a way to reunite, figure out what caused doomsday, put a stop to it, and return to the present timeline to stop that other apocalypse. All while being hunted by a trio of ruthless Swedish assassins. But seriously, no pressure or anything."

We. Cannot. Wait.
The spoiler shots for the upcoming series are as wonderfully retro as you expect, too.
And as Netflix shared them, the platform made sure to give a shout-out to Klaus and his new hippy image.
"First look photos of The Umbrella Academy S2 = first look at @RobMSheehan in this outfit," they wrote.
"Omg planning cosplay now," replied one excited fan.
While another added: "Klaus is a fashion icon. We stan".
In the upcoming series, Aidan Gallagher is reprising his role as Number Five, Ellen Page as Vanya, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison, Tom Hopper as Luther, David Castañeda as Diego, Justin H. Min as Ben and Robert Sheehan as Klaus.
Plus, Ritu Arya, Yusuf Gatewood and Marin Ireland are all set to join the cast.
Arya is known for her role in Humans and has been cast as Lila in Season 2. Gatewood starred in Amazon's Good Omens and will play Raymond, whilst Ireland will play Sissy.
Mark your calendars for July 31st. You don't wanna miss this.
