People Are Calling For Vanessa Hudgens To Get An Oscar For Her Role In The Princess Switch Sequel

Every rom-com fan knows that the best part of the festive season is watching back-to-back cheesy Christmas movies on Netflix, and this year we've been treated to an extra special treat in the form of Vanessa Hudgens' The Princess Switch: Switched Again.

In fact, the flick is proving to be so popular that people are calling for the High School Musical actress to get an Oscar for her roles of Duchess Margaret, Princess Stacy and cousin Fiona, and we are totally here for it.

We mean, who else could pull of playing three characters in one movie?

"Without a doubt Vanessa Hudgens will win Best Actress at the Oscars next year for The Princess Switch: Switched Again," tweeted one fan, with another adding: "Vanessa Hudgens for best actress the princess switch 2," said a second.

A third said: "Vaness Hudgens for best actress in princess switch 2."

Another seemed particularly enamoured with the actress, saying: "If Vanessa Hudgens doesn't win 55 oscars and a medal for that, I will award them to her mysrlf [sic]..speechless. vanessa anne hudgens you deserve EVERYTHING and more after that movie, I'm so proud."

If you've not watched it ten times already, Princess Switch: Switched Again is a sequel to the 2018 feel good festive flick Princess Switch, with Vanessa reprising her role of lookalikes Duchess Margaret and Princess Stacy in this second installment.

You'll remember from the first movie that Stacy is married to Prince Edward, and Duchess Margaret is getting over her break-up with Kevin after their long distance relationship didn't work out *cries*.

Convinced the pair are destined to be together, Stacy goes to visit Margaret for her coronation - and takes Kevin along with her. Kevin and Margaret fall straight into old habits, but still haven't addressed why they broke up in the first place.

However, naturally things don't quite go to plan, when a handsome new royal steps on the scene and guns for Margaret.
