And the hilarious comparisons are spot on.

A Love Island fan has broken the internet with a hilarious Twitter thread comparing the Islanders to noughties school bags, and each one is totally spot on.

Michael Griffiths, Amber Gill, Molly-Mae Hague, Tommy Fury, Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard are all transformed into iconic totes we'll all recognise from our school days, and the string of tweets had Twitter users in stitches.

The user declared that Molly would be a bright pink, Zebra patterned Paul's Boutique handbag with plenty of jazzy charms, while professional boxer Tommy would use a black, plastic drawstring bag from JD Sports to carry around his school books.

Next is Geordie beautician Amber, who is given a Jane Norman bag adorned in pink and silver sparkly butterflies and hearts, and we're willing to put money on this being her *actual* school bag.

Meanwhile, Liverpudlian firefighter Michael is given a Nike 'Just Do It' black backpack, which we can definitely still see him repping now.

The third tweet, shared by @craigblake_, reads: "If Amy and Curtis were school bags," alongside a picture of flight attendant Amy and a lilac Groovy Chick satchel, while professional dancer Curtis' is a black, smart and practical backpack. Perfect.

The hilarious thread has been retweeted and liked thousands of times by tickled Twitter users, some of which put their own suggestions forward, while others begged the user to recreate more of the Islanders in schoolbag form.

"Molly mae is a Paul's Boutique defo [sic]," agreed one amused user, as another declared: "Amy would be Cath Kidston thru and thru [sic]."

"I feel like Curtis would more likely be a worn leather over the shoulder bag," offered somebody else.

While a fourth replied: "Looooool the compatable energies are REAL!"

We are living for this year's Love Island memes.
