Sony Movies Christmas will be dedicated to festive films only and will air 24 hours a day - and this is the good news we need for 2020.
Launching on 24th September, the pop-up channel will air Christmas classics, new premieres plus "indulgent treats to get you in the holiday mood from September to January," so says the channel's synopsis.
And this news couldn't come soon enough!
The synopsis adds: "Santa and his elves aren't the only people working its stockings off to ensure there's enough Christmas content to keep you in a seasonal mood right until the big day and beyond."
"Because really, when isn't a good time to give yourself a little festive cheer?" When indeed?
Airing exclusive Christmas films such as A Beauty and the Beast Christmas, Marrying Father Christmas and The Christmas Cabin, we really can't wait for the channel's launch.
And, on top of some of our favourite festive films, there'll be showings of new movies including A Christmas Eve Miracle, Christmas Cruise (we're excited for this one tbh) and Magic Stocking. Sounds intriguing!
Not only will viewers be treated to exclusive Christmas films and old faves, but there will also be themed weekends ranging from 'Christmas comedies', 'Naughty vs nice', 'Wicked Christmas' (we really hope The Grinch is included in this one!) and 'Singing for Christmas'.
We can't wait!
Sony Movies Christmas will be available all day, everyday from 24th September. You can find the channel on Freeview 50, Sky 319, Virgin 424 or Freesat 303.
Meanwhile, if you're more in the mood for festive background music, a radio station dedicated to some of our favourite yuletide tunes recently launched.
Magic 100% Christmas will play non-stop Christmas hits to lift the nation's spirits during difficult times - all day, everyday.
