There were emotional scenes on Sunday night as the TV BAFTAs 2021 paid tribute to stars we've lost over the past year.

The Memoriam segment during last night's ceremony honoured the likes of Helen McCrory, Dame Diana Rigg and Nikki Grahame - but viewers were left wondering why Dame Barbara Windsor was not included.

The Carry On and EastEnders icon passed away in December aged 83, following a battle with Alzheimer's.

And fans were upset by her absence from the tribute, with one tweeting: "Did I miss it or did the @BBC just miss off the late Dame Barbara Windsor when paying tribute to those who we have lost this past year on the @BAFTAs?"

The official BAFTA Twitter account responded, explaining that Barbara had already been honoured during the Film Awards ceremony earlier this year.

The acting legend was laid to rest in London in January, one month after her death.

The private ceremony took place at Golders Green Crematorium in north London, with mourners including husband Scott Mitchell, and stars Ross Kemp, David Walliams and Matt Lucas.

Dame Barbara, who played landlady Peggy Mitchell in EastEnders and starred in the Carry On movies, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2014.

Last night's big winners included Michaela Coel, whose drama series I May Destroy You took home the gong for Best Mini Series and Best Leading Actress; while Paul Mescal was named Best Leading Actor for his role as Connor in Normal People.
