Fans of Top Boy get excited as Dushane and Sully are set to return for a second season on Netflix this year.
Drake, who acts as executive producer on the show, confirmed that the crime drama would be coming back to screens in a comment posted on GRM Daily's Instagram page.
The photo in question celebrated the success of the new Top Boy released in 2019 and asked: "Will we see a new series in 2020?"
Then in an unexpected move, the Hotline Bling rapper replied under the post: "Of course". That's all the confirmation we need.
Canadian hitmaker Drake was integral to bringing the beloved show in 2019, six years after it last aired on Channel 4 under the series name Summerhouse.
Initially gripped the first two season on Channel 4, he previously told the Hollywood Reporter: "That human element drew me in.
"I started just looking them up. Like, who are these people? Are these actors I should know? Are they just famous over there? I remember I hit Future, and I was just like, 'This show is incredible'."
The series is executive produced by the original creative team, too. Charles Steel and Alasdair Flind returns alongside Ronan Bennett and Yann Demange.
Drake's business partner Adel "Future" Nur along with Maverick Carter and Jamal Henderson for SpringHill Entertainment also acts as executive producers.
The most recent 10-part series saw Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson reprise their roles as Dushane and Sully, while UK grime stars Dave and Lil Simz also joined the cast.
The series picked up as Dushane returned from exile to his home in London to reclaim his throne in the highly lucrative drug market.
He teamed up with Sully (Kane Robinson), partner-in-crime, who was returning to the same streets after his stint in prison came to an end.
However, awaiting them both was Jamie (Micheal Ward), the young and ruthless gang leader whose ambitions leave no place for Dushane and Sully.
Drake's confirmation should come as no surprise as series lead Ashley Walters told Metro that the crew was already working on a script in November.
He said: "We haven't had the actual green light yet but it's looking promising. In preparation for that we've already been working out storylines and writing so it's looking good.
"Obviously I won't give anything away but it's looking dope and we're all looking forward to going again with the show."
