Since filming began in 2017, Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley's movie Chaos Walking has had a big question mark over its head thanks to a round of expensive reshoots and no release date. Fans will be happy to hear, then, that the Doug Liman-directed movie is finally on track for release, and the first poster has finally been revealed.

Check it out below...

Based on Patrick Ness's 2008 novel The Knife of Never Letting Go, the much anticipated sci-fi adaption follows Todd Hewitt (Holland), a young man who lives on a faraway planet called New World.

In this world, Todd believes all women were wiped out by a deadly pathogen, which also created what the population calls Noise - a special ability that allows people to hear other peoples' and animals' thoughts.

That all changes when Todd meets Viola (Ridley) who is unaffected by noise, and the pair embark on a journey that reveals some truths about the mysterious place they call home.

Chaos Walking also features Mads Mikkelsen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Demian Bichir (The Hateful Eight), Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy), Cynthia Erivo (Widows), David Oyelowo (Selma) and Nick Jonas (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), so we already know it's going to be great.

Chaos Walking has been a long time coming. Holland and Ridley both signed on in 2016, and though principal photography wrapped in November 2017, reshoots were put off until April 2010 due to Ridley's commitment to filming The Rise of Skywalker, among other things.

However it now finally has a release date of January 22nd 2021, so the end is in sight!

If you can't wait until then, Disney's remake of Black Beauty starring Kate Winslet as the voice of Beauty is launching on Disney+ this month (27th November), and it looks so good. Just check out the trailer here:

So much great viewing to come!
