Harry Potter fans were left shocked after Tom Felton appeared on Good Morning Britain looking completely different

The actor, who played Draco Malfoy in the world of witchcraft and wizadry appeared on the breakfast show to promote his new YouTube premium show Origin.

Fans took to social media to point out how different Tom looked compared to his time as Draco in the blockbuster films.

The 31-year-old did look notably different - the bleach blonde hair had been swapped for a dirtier blonde shade and he had grown his locks a bit longer into a man bun.

He also wore glasses and had grown a beard, something schoolboy Malfoy definitely didn't have.

One user wrote: "Tom Felton looking like he is rocking up late to his first sociology lecture after freshers week."

Another user added: "Could've washed your hair @tomfelton."

Somebody else wrote: "Please!! Someone do something with Tom Felton's hair!"

However, quite a few fans loved Tom's new look and defended him against the haters.

One fan wrote: "Tom Felton has got pretty fit ain't he!"

Another Twitter user added: ''Hi Tom, just seen you on @GMB what a level headed lad you are. All the very best to you."

Tom takes a leading role in science fiction series Origin, where a group of strangers struggle for survival aboard a spaceship heading to a distant planet.

To kick off the interview, host Piers Morgan admitted that he had no idea about the Potter universe but said his son, Spencer, was a big fan.

He said: "I feel like despite my own lack of interest this is who far Harry Potter has permeated the public interest. When my own children are emblazoned with permanent symbols of what you guys stand for."

Spencer woke up early to make his way into the studio to meet Tom and show him his Deathly Hallows tattoo.

Although the Harry Potter films may have come to an end, Tom did speak about his time spent in the world of J.K. Rowling's novels.

He said: "The Harry Potter flame is not going anywhere anytime soon. I'm meeting new fans every day.

"It has changed my life beyond recognition. At the same time I don't see myself as a Harry Potter star. I only feel like that when I get questioned."
