This Morning Viewers' Fury As 'Animal Conservationist' Says Hunting Is Essential To Prevent Overpopulation

This Morning viewers were up in arms today as a self-proclaimed 'conservationist' claimed that hunting endangered animals was "vital" in order to "manage the population" of various species.

Michaela Fialova, from the Czech Republic, appeared on the ITV show to talk to Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes about her online identity as a 'sexy huntress', and how she was flaunting her love of the 'bloodsport' on OnlyFans, in order to raise profits for "animal conservation".

And during her time on the show, she also told the baffled presenters that she believes she is helping animals more than vegetarians, vegans, and those who limit their meat consumption.

"It's always about the conservation in the first place," she said. "You need to manage the population, every place has a permitted source of how many animals can live there, and everything else must be taken out, so it's the same everywhere in the world.

"For example in my country it's the deers and it's the bores, and in Africa it could be the zebra or the giraffe".

When quizzed by Philip Schofield as to whether she was "playing God" with the animals, she confirmed that, in essence, she was.

However, she added that she believes animals could no longer be left to "survival of the fittest".

"We have limited forces, if our species is growing and we need to eat and have space to live in, we are removing animals. In this time with this [many] humans on the planet, nature can't manage by itself," she said.

"To understand conservation you have to study university for years, but basically if there is more people in the planet then there will [need to be] less animals. We take the big ones and leave the strong ones. As we grow as humans, we will lose all animals in the future.

"There is 1 million animals facing extinction in the future. We need to stop."

"Thank goodness you're there to be killing them all," Phil replied sarcastically.

Picking up on this point, Rochelle then asked Michaela whether she felt comfortable commenting on what we need to do to protect animals when she was so brazenly killing them, and - not only that - posing with pictures of her kills on social media.

"That picture is so distressing to me - in the name of conservation- but then you post it. Its just a bloodlust," Phil added.

"What I do is shocking but the purpose is... maybe [people] will start to research.... and then they will find out that hunting is to manage the population," Michaela said in response.

Claiming that she was caring more about animal rights than vegetarians and vegans, she went on: "As long as you're not a psychopath [hunting is] always very hard, but it's still better.

"I don't eat meat from a supermarket because I don't want to see animals suffer. Even if you don't eat that meat, you now that animals have to be killed to plant plants, you know that?

"Just because you find [the animals] cute, I can't keep them there and let them eat the food. It sounds bad, and it is bad, but there is no other way to manage animals".

Responding to the fierce TV debate, fans had a lot of feelings about the huntress and her claims.

"How can she sit there with a smile on her face and say that killing animals who're going extinct, is what we must do to maintain the growing population of human beings..?," wrote one person on Twitter.

While another raged: "Humans are overpopulated hugely... do you agree with murdering them to keep the population down?"

"I'm guessing quite a few of these conservationists skipped the parts in science that explains the whole eco system balances itself out naturally?," a third wrote. "The only thing that destroys said balance is humanity and it's stupid ideas like this".

As a fourth penned: "This was a hard watch, it broke me, my head and heart is struggling! But @Schofe and @RochelleHumes, handled so well. Must of been difficult!"

"Such a shame seeing #ThisMorning @thismorning giving airtime to trophy hunters trying to condone their [bloodtlust]. Made me feel physically sick," said another.
