Holly And Phil In Hysterics On This Morning As James Martin’s Soup Explodes While Blending It

Ever had one of those Mondays where everything goes pear-shaped from the get-go? Well, James Martin was victim of one of those Mondays on today's edition of This Morning.

The pro chef, 48, was on the popular ITV programme alongside hosts Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby making a tasty winter Cauliflower soup, complete with some delicious cheese straws.

But things just weren't going his way as he demonstrated his recipe in the This Morning kitchen, seeing his soup boil over while it was on the hob all over the stove.

And as if that wasn't bad enough, the soup then proceeded to explode out the blender after the lid came flying off - prompting one of Holly and Phil's legendary giggling fits.

Holly wise-cracked: "You're having a really good day aren't you?"

Unable to contain his frustration, James humorously fumed: "I've got a director in my ear saying I've got seven minutes, then six minutes, now I've got one minute apparently. Look at the state of this!

"He's going to say clear the shot. How can I clear the shot? Right, I don't know how we got there but this is cauliflower soup."

Phil joked: "He'll be cleaning up for an hour."

Despite of the problems he faced, James hastily added that you can replicate his wintry warm-up (without the piles of mess) in your kitchens at home.

Holly was keen for viewers to give it a go, and not let them be put off by the chaos in the studio by hastily adding: "It tastes great!"

It's not been the first time This Morning has caused chaos on the airwaves, with Holly left in fits of giggles after the show asked parents to send in the accidentally NSFW drawings their children had made.

One in particular which caught Holly's attention was a drawing of Father Christmas' with a rather naughty looking selection of hats, which appeared more like... something else.
