With England currently in the vice-grip of lockdown, lots of us are turning to television to keep us company over the cold winter's nights.

One must-see show that everyone is raving about is HBO's The Undoing, available to watch in the UK on Sky Atlantic and Now TV.

The mini-series, based on 2014 novel You Should Have Known, follows talented therapist Grace Fraser who appears to have the perfect life. Things are continuing in an uninterrupted idyll thanks to her wealthy child oncologist husband Jonathan and gifted son Henry - until a gruesome murder shakes their lives.

The Undoing boasts an all-star cast, with Hugh Grant starring as Jonathan - but it's Hollywood regular Nicole Kidman that has captured fans' imagination.

Viewers have rushed to Twitter to heap praise upon the actress - with one going as far as to call her "the greatest actress of our generation."

Another called her "outstanding".

"Nicole Kidman really is that b**** in literally every show & movie she stars in!" a third raved. "Started The Undoing tonight & I'm completely hooked."

"Nicole Kidman's acting abilities are without peer," said another viewer. "She is truly amazing at her craft."

Others are calling for Kidman, 53, to win an Emmy Award for her stellar performance.

"Nicole Kidman deserves an Emmy for The Undoing!" wrote one. "She is acting! So good."

"Safe to say Nicole Kidman has secured an Emmy for Lead Actress in a Limited Series!" added another.

"Definitely another Emmy nomination performance," a third said.

A fourth chipped in: "If Nicole Kidman doesn't win an Emmy for this show, it's robbery. "

Of course, Kidman is no stranger to awards glory.

The star won an Oscar in 2002 for her performance as Virginia Woolf in The Hours.

She also won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress for her unforgettable performance in Big Little Lies.

Now, if you excuse us, we've got some major bingeing to do.
