Some of your favourite One Tree Hill cast members are finally reuniting in the name of Christmas for a new Lifetime holiday film.

The Christmas Contract trailer has finally arrived and it features One Tree Hill stars Hilarie Burton, Danneel Ackles, Robert Buckley and Antwon Tanner.

It could be a little confusing for fans though as the stars don't play the characters from the TV series, instead they are playing original characters with a brand new story.

Hilarie, who played Peyton Sawyer in the TV series, plays Jolie who is heading back to her hometown for the first time since breaking up with her boyfriend Foster (played by Hunter Burke).

Of course, Jolie won't be able to avoid her ex forever as their parents all run the local Christmas markets together.

Jolie's best friend, Naomi (Daneel Ackles aka Rachel on One Tree Hill), draws up a contract between her brother Jack (OTH's Robert Buckley) to say they can use each other for whatever they need over the festive season.

It might be strange for fans to see Peyton and Clay in a romantic situation. (

One of these uses is for Jack to be a 'buffer' for awkward interactions with Jolie's ex and in return Jolie will create a website to promote Jack's new novel.

You can probably guess which way this arrangement is going to go.

A romantic storyline between Peyton and Clay might seem a bit strange but it's just good to have all the cast together on our screens again.

After waiting for a reunion since 2012 fans will be glad to know they only have two more days to wait as the film premieres on the 22 November.

Fans first heard of the reunion back in June as the cast began to tweet about a 'mystery project' they were working on but the pictures from the Tweets were quickly deleted.

But fans of the show managed to take some sneaky screenshots and shared their excitement.

One user wrote: "I can't wait to see what y'all are doing! Christmas came really early this year [sic]." Another added: "This makes me so very happy!"
