First Trailer For Vanessa Hudgens’ ‘The Knight Before Christmas’ Has Dropped

Netflix has dropped the first trailer for The Knight Before Christmas and it's got us feeling so festive.

The streaming service officially announced it would be producing the new Crimbo film, starring Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Whitehouse, back in October, and teased that it would be "a modern day romance with a medieval twist".

And now the trailer has arrived, we can certify the film is absolutely going to be as mushy, soppy and gooey as we'd hope from a Christmas rom-com.

The official synopsis revealed that Vanessa would be playing an unlucky in love science teacher Brooke, while Josh will be stepping into the role of medieval knight Sir Cole, who is in for quite a shock as he's transported into present-day Ohio while on a quest.

Much like everyone's favourite Christmas classic, Elf, Brooke then sets out to helps Sir Cole as he tries to seamlessly fit in to modern life, while also offering a helping hand as he completes his quest.

But as the pair get closer, Sir Cole begins to wonder if he wants to leave Brooke behind and return to his old life after all.

The trailer opens with Vanessa walking through her school grounds, as she says: "We all dream of finding our Knight in shining armour and living happily ever after. But that's all it is, fantasy."

Then, naturally, Sir Cole crashes screen, looking dapper as ever in his full medieval chainmail ensemble. (We'll say it again: there's no way that Will Ferrell didn't offer some inspo, here).

Of course, he talks in medieval tongue, too, which Brooke, and her family, find more than a little confusing at first.

But after she's taught him about modern phenomenon like digital radios and 21st century clothing, it's not long before he's slotting right into her life and she's developing a soft spot for him too.

The film, with a title inspired by famous poem The Night Before Christmas, is set to arrive on Netflix on November 21st.

We're so ready.
