If you've been waiting for a scary TV show to sink your teeth into, then we've got good news, as the first trailer for The Haunting Of Bly Manor has just dropped ahead of its autumn release.

The show is the second instalment of - but not linked to - The Haunting of Hill House, which aired last year on Netflix.
Last week, Netflix dropped a whole bunch of snaps from the new series, and let fans know that they could expect it to arrive on screens this autumn.
But now we know the official date - October 9th - so, mark you calendars, and maybe get some sleep before, because we can guarantee this film with come with some sleepless nights...
It is a whole new chapter in the Haunting Of series, but will focus on a brand new creepy house as well as a whole new family.
And if the trailer is anything to go by, it's set to be just as terrifying.

In it, we get a glimpse inside Essex's Bly Manor, where Victoria plays a governess who is sent to look after two children, Flora and Miles.
There, she begins to notice strange figures creeping around the property, and the children seem to be communicating with someone - or something.
*Queue creepy dolls moving on their own, a body lying face down in a lake and a dolls house opening up as if by magic - to the eery sound of a kids choir singing, no less*.

The end of the trailer cuts between the governess' pictured screaming in absolute terror and Flora humming, with a sinister look on her face.
We're going to have nightmares from the minute long clip alone, tbh...
We of course always knew that the new series was starring actors from The Haunting Of Hill House, including Victoria Pedretti, Henry Thomas, Catherine Parker, Kate Siegel and Oliver Jackson-Cohen, but they will be playing brand new characters.

Show creator Michael Flanagan clearly took a leaf out of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk of American Horror Story's book by creating an anthology series that keeps on many of its actors.
We also already knew it would be based on Henry James' Turn Of The Screw 1898 novella thanks to a tweet from Netflix last year, which read: "A new Haunting is coming. Can you guess where it takes place? Listen closely..."
It followed it with: "You guessed it. The HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR, a new chapter in the Haunting series based on the works of Henry James, is coming in 2020."

Rahul Kohli, T'Nia Miller, Benjamin Ainsworth, Amelia Eve and Amelie Smith are also set to join the cast, with Benjamin as Miles and Amelia as Flora, central characters in the book.

Oliver told Collider of the new series: "It was strange because how do you kind of take a show that was that well received and that loved, how do you do a second version of it? And he's [Mike Flanagan] sort of surpassed it. It's quite amazing what he's done with Bly."
Heading back to Vancouver to finish THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR, and to start MIDNIGHT MASS. 2020 is already shaping up to be pretty damn busy... can't wait to show y'all what we're up to.
