Netflix has a brand new teen rom-com coming - and to say it isn't your basic 'boy meets girl' story is an understatement.
The Half Of It, which is landing on the streamer on 1st May, follows introverted by misunderstood student Ellie Chu, who lives in the small town of Squahamish with her father.

Ellie (played by Leah Lewis) is often teased by her classmates, but runs a side hustle writing their essays for them.
However, the guitar-playing wallflower's life takes an unexpected turn when a popular jock asks her to take on a different writing task: love letter writing.
Ellie, at first reluctantly, agrees to write love letters for Paul (Daniel Diemer), who is madly in love with school beauty Aster Flores (Alexxis Lemire).
But things get complicated when Ellie discovers she, too, has feelings for person she's been ghosting writing letters for.
"Shy, straight-A student Ellie is hired by sweet but inarticulate jock Paul, who needs help winning over a popular girl. But their new and unlikely friendship gets complicated when Ellie discovers she has feelings for the same girl," reads the official summary.

The movie follows Lara-Jean Covey (Lana Condor) as she continues to be torn between two of her crushes, Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) and John Ambrose McClaren (Jordan Fisher).
The Half Of It lands on Netflix on May 1st.
