*The Fall spoilers ahead.*

At the start of this month, you'll remember us telling you that The Fall had landed on Netflix.

The dark Irish crime series, which first aired between 2013 and 2016 on BBC Two, already had its fair share of avid viewers back in the day.

But after landing on the streaming platform four years later, the world is now hooked all over again - and Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan) has attracted a whole new pool of fans, too.

Taking to Twitter after watching the series on Netflix, one fan wrote: "The Fall is amazing! how have i never watched this before #TheFall #Netflix".

While another added: "Started watching 'The Fall' again since it's on Netflix and I already know I'll still be [love heart-eyes emoji] over Jamie Dornan even though he's psycho killer".

If you need refreshing, the series - written by Allan Cubitt - is set in Northern Ireland and follows the life of Detective Superintendent Gibson (Gillian Anderson) who is transferred from London's Metropolitan Police to investigate a murder overseas.

Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson is tasked with tracking down serial killer Paul Spector (Dornan), who has an ominous obsession with the young women of Belfast.

On the outside, he looks like a normal guy. He's handsome, a psychiatrist, a husband and a doting dad... but under the surface he has truly dark and depraved desires he just can't shake.

As the case unfolds, Gibson is challenged by her colleagues on her handling of the investigation, and tensions rise.

She also develops a fascination with Spector which borders on an obsession.

Series 2 and 3, which aired in 2014 and 2016, follow DS Gibson and the ever-complicated obstacles flung in her way in the pursuit of capturing Spector, whose body count continues to rise.

And OG fans will remember final series sees Spector arrested for the killing of Susan Harper, recounting her murder as a sex game gone wrong that lead him down his grisly path.

In the finale, Stella receives a brutal beating from Spector in the police interrogation room.

And it ends with Spector killing his cellmate with a belt and then asphyxiating himself with the same belt, just as his first victim and mother died.

But is he really dead?!
