The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina Trailer Just Dropped And It's Super Creepy

Don't expect to see Melissa Joan Hart dancing in front of her bedroom mirror...

The official trailer for the Sabrina The Teenage Witch reboot, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina just dropped and it looks seriously creepy.

Blessed with the same producers from Riverdale, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina shouldn't be mistaken with the teenage sit-com that we watched for hours on Nickelodeon all those years ago as the Netflix reboot takes a much darker spin on the story.

Of course, the Nickelodeon series took inspiration from the Archie comic but the Netflix adaptation takes a much more serious approach on the story so viewers can prepare to be spooked...

According to the online streaming giant, the reboot "imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina The Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature - half-witch, half-mortal - while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit."

It doesn't look like we're going to see Melissa Joan Hart dancing in front of her bedroom mirror any time soon, does it?

Netflix

This week we finally got our first glimpse at what the new series will look like and it's given us a real taste for what's to come.

Luckily, the reboot is set to land on Netflix on 26th October, so we haven't got too long to wait before we can discover the intrepid adventures of Sabrina (and Salem, of course!)

Obviously, we know Sabrina as Melissa Joan Hart, but in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the role is taken on by Kiernan Shipka, who previously starred in Mad Men and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who wrote the comic and is working as a showrunner added: "We're all such huge fans of Kiernan's work that when we started talking about who this new incarnation of Sabrina could be, her name was on everyone's wish list. This is a darker, more macabre version of Sabrina, and we're incredibly excited for people to see Kiernan make this iconic character her own."

Hurry up, 26th October!
