Well, you'll be pleased to hear that Tension, a new thriller film from Darren Lynn Bousman, director of splatter flick franchise Saw, is now in production - and it has all the hallmarks of a mega horror franchise.
The movie will be produced by Rebel Way Entertainment, the brainchild of Yoram Globus and his son Ori Globus, who have scooped a whopping $50M (£38M) to finance for the project.
Tension takes inspiration from Tension Experience, an immersive live theatre production by Darren Lynn Bousman, Gordon Bijelonic and Clint Sears.
The plot follows a group of four friends who decide to take part in an extreme immersive horror experience on Halloween.
Things inevitably take a dark turn when what was supposed to be a game of manipulation becomes a night of shocking, twisted terror.
With its Russian Doll horror-within-a-horror plot and theme of game-playing, the concept has echoes of Black Mirror, Saw and Inception.
What else do we know about the movie? Well, the script is written by Scott Milam.
Bousman - who is currently in post-production of the 2020 SAW IX Reboot, starring Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson - is expected to bring his signature unusual storytelling techniques, slow-burn scares and jump-shocks to the production.
Meanwhile, Yoram Globus, who helms the project, is famous for propelling the careers of Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris back in the 80s.
The team behind Rebel Way believe Tension has the potential to become a colossal horror brand, much like Bousman's SAW series. Shudder.
Beyond Tenion, Rebel Way's current movie projects in development include The Boxer, based on the novel The Boxer's Story: Fighting for My Life in the Nazi Camps, a true story written by Nathan Shapow, Bob Harris and Mike Shapow.
Then there's a feature film adaptation of the documentary The Shadow of Truth, written by Ari Pines and Yotam Guendelman, which exploring the explosive 2006 murder case of a 13-year-old Israeli girl, and is currently airing on Netflix.
