That is one of the most spectacular tumbles we've ever seen.

Ah, Sunday Brunch. We love the Channel 4 cookery show not only for its tasty food but for its delightful disorder.

But never have we loved it more than this morning, when presenter Tim Lovejoy hilariously took an absolutely spectacular tumble live, while introducing himself.

Watch it here for yourself:

"We're here, you're watching Sunday Brunch live from the television centre, I'm Tim Lovejoy, yay!," he said, rather a little too enthusiastically, jumping as he did so, and crashing dramatically backwards to the ground.

As he fell, Tim (and the rest of the set) erupted into laughter, and Simon looked on bewildered from two metres away, telling his colleague: "I can't even help you up!"

Clambering up on his hands and knees, Tim then tried to carry on as normal, but he looked more than a little frazzled.

"On the show this morning...," he begun, before pointing over at guest Izzy Bizu and the crew and snapping: "Easy, stop laughing!"

Tim eventually managed to splutter out that Maya Jama would also be joining them as a guest, but by this point Simon was covering his face with his cue cards in dismay, and chuckling away to himself.

After the hilarious TV fail took place, people flocked to Twitter in disbelief at what they had just watched.

"Best ever beginning to #SundayBrunch today #liveTV," one sniggered.

While another joked: "Taxi for @TimLovejoy! #SundayBrunch".

Tim then had to help himself up because of social distancing (

A third made Tim's fall into a rather relatable meme, writing: When your trying to stay positive but life has other plans (sic). Epic fall by Tim Lovejoy #SundayBrunch #TimLovejoy". LOL.

"This made my week, I've watched it 4 times now," another penned.

Shortly after the incident took place, the Sunday Brunch team took to Twitter themselves.

"Well that's one way to start the show! Be careful @timlovejoy! #SundayBrunch," they wrote, before adding: "We can confirm Tim is okay!".

What an eventful start to the show. Don't change Tim, it's these moments which make Sunday Brunch so iconic.
