Calling all Stranger Things fans, Netflix has released a video to announce the start of production for season 4 - and it's getting the Internet all kinds of hyped.

Featuring clips of the script read-through and the cast fooling around backstage, it's crammed with candid behind-the-scenes moments to tease a brand-new season.

Posted to the Stranger Things YouTube account, the caption reads: "We went to the Stranger Things 4 Table Read and left the door open 3 inches so you could get a peek. Stranger Things 4 now in production."

From Finn Wolfhard mucking around with a video camera and bear-hugging David Harbour (Chief Hopper lives! Wait... we already knew that) to Gaten Matarazzo goofing around, it's full of moments to give you all the warm and fuzzy feels.

"Never clicked on anything so fast," wrote one YouTuber.

"The more I see stuff like this, the more I want to be on the show," wrote another.

Needless to say, Hopper's appearance in the announcement video caused a big stream of comments.

"Hopper: Isn't dead.
Literally all of us: Well that's something new, isn't it?" joked one commentator.

"Netflix: Hopper is alive.
The whole world: Oh my god I didn't know that," chimed in another.

Season 4 is set to premiere in July. Netflix dropped the trailer last month, revealing that Jim Hopper was very much alive. Squeal.

Fans will recall that season 3 ended with the sheriff apparently closing The Upside Down to protect his adopted daughter Eleven from harm. However, his body was never shown which lead people to speculate that he was killed, or that he jumped into The Upside Down portal.

In a post-credits sequence, Russian soldiers talked about an American being held captive in a Siberian prison. Hopper, it turned out, had survived after all.

In a statement, Netflix said that it was "not all good news" for the captive. "He is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human... and other," said the streaming service.

"Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything...."

We are so ready to see how season 4 plays out.
