This is not a drill. The adaptation of Stephen King and his son Joe Hill's novel In The Tall Grass lands on Netflix next week, and it looks like it isn't for the faint hearted.

Arriving on the streaming platform on Friday 4th October, the film - which is directed by Cube's Vincenzo Natal - will star Patrick Wilson, Laysla De Oliveira and Harrison Gilbertson, among other famous faces.

Published in 2012, In The Tall Grass focuses on a siblings Cal (Avery Whitted) and Becky (Laysla De Oliveira) who hear a terrified little boy scream for help in Kansas, and go in search of the apparent victim.

As they head out in the overgrown grass, they (naturally) end up getting lost - and as you'd expect from a horror movie, this doesn't bode well.

As a sinister force splits them up and seeks to terrify and disorientate them further, the pair soon realise there may not be a way out...

Both she and Cal then come across several other lost individuals in the grass, who are also trying to find their loved ones.

In the first official trailer, which launched last week, Becky can be seen uttering: "Something's not right about this.." You don't say!

At one point, a little boy even pops up and eerily advises: "You can find things. But it's easier once they're dead."

The film is said to introduce Becky's ex boyfriend as a key character too.

While the pair also meet Tobin - the little boy they heard - and his parents as the dramatic horror progresses.

The movie hits Netflix as the streaming platform is currently stocking up its spooky offerings in time for Halloween.

Also on offer will be Netflix originals In The Shadow Of The Moon and Fractured.

Stephen King has been delighting fans by announcing a whole host of releases recently.

His 2013 novel Doctor Sleep is also set to air on 30 October, while IT: Chapter Two also recently hit cinemas.

Anyone else officially scared to cut their lawn now?!
