Ever since HBO's Westworld Season 3 landed on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV on 16th March, we've had one question on our lips - will the brilliantly bonkers sci-fi drama be confirmed for a fourth season?

Happily, we can confirm that the answer is HELL YES.

Sky TV announced the renewal in a tweet on Wednesday.

"#Westworld will return," confirmed the channel, sharing a frustratingly short teaser. "Season 4 confirmed."

"The best news!!" commented one fan.

"WHATTT!!!" responded another.

Season 3 plunged us back into the dystopian drama from the brains of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, based on the 1973 movie written and directed by iconic sci-fi author Michael Crichton.

With the exception of Teddy (RIP), Season 3 brought with it the return of the show's central characters, Bernard (Jeffrey Wright), William (Ed Harris), Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson), and Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), alongside Maeve (Thandie Newton).

The series opener was the futuristic cowboy epic's shortest premier yet, at just one hour and eight minutes.

Season 3 has marked a shift in direction for the HBO show, with Dolores, Bernard, Maeve Millay and co relocating to the real world outside of the Delos parks.

As ever, the show continues to throw out red herrings, play with our perceptions of time, and keep us guessing as to which characters are in fact android hosts.

Westworld Season 3 is currently airing on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV every Monday and viewers can also catch up on demand.

An air date for Westworld Season 4 is yet to be confirmed. Bring on a whole new season of mind-boggling plot twists and crazy fan conspiracy theories.

You can get the NOW TV Cinema Pass for £7.99 p/m for four months and the Entertainment Pass for £5.49 p/m for four months.

The Entertainment & Sky Cinema package is also currently 60 per cent off at £49.99 for six months.
