Hallelujah!

If you were in any doubt of what to watch today as you mainline leftover turkey in your pajamas, we have just the thing - Sister Act 1 and 2 are on TV back-to-back.

Yes, Channel 5 will be airing the 1992 musical comedy and its sequel today from 2.20pm. Praise be!

Fans will be able to enjoy over four hours of Whoopi Goldberg donning her nun's habit for the hilarious movies.

Directed by Emile Ardolino, Sister Act follows the trials and tribulations of Deloris Van Cartier (Goldberg), a lounge singer who witnesses a murder at the hands of her mobster beau (Harvey Keitel).

The singer is forced to join a convent under the alias of Sister Mary Clarence when she is put in witness protection. Despite her rebellious streak and the watchful eye of the Reverend Mother (Maggie Smith), she ends up transforming the Sunday choir into a soulful act that gains widespread attention.

Whoopi won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, and the flick generated $232 million worldwide.

The first installment of the gospel extravaganza starts at 2.20pm, and straight after, Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit begins at 4.25pm.

The 1993 sequel catches us with Deloris who has become a famous Las Vegas singer since her time at the convent. The nuns have found Deloris to ask for her help in saving the St. Francis Academy in San Francisco, which is facing closure unless the school's reputation can be improved.

Reprising her role as Sister Mary Clarence, Deloris butts horns with some troublesome students as she attempts to rehabilitate them with gospel music.

There's our Friday sorted.

And if Sister Act isn't up your street (are you mad?) maybe Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Arc (BBC One, 1.25pm) or Love Actually (ITV, 10.10pm) might be more to your liking?

Sister Act begins on Channel 5 at 2.20pm, followed by Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit begins at 4.25pm.
