Fans of comedies with a bit of a twist, we've got a juicy first look at a must-see show - and it looks set to be addictive.

The Shrink Next Door stars Hollywood heavyweights Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd, who become embroiled in an increasingly bizarre relationship.

You can watch the trailer here.

Rudd plays psychiatrist to the stars Dr. Isaac "Ike" Herschkopf, who works with longtime patient Martin "Marty" Markowitz (played by Ferrell). Over the course of their relationship, the all-too-charming Ike slowly inserts himself into Marty's life, even moving into Marty's Hamptons home and persuading Marty to name him president of the family business.

Based on real-life events, the series 'explores how a seemingly normal doctor-patient dynamic morphs into an exploitative relationship filled with manipulation, power grabs, and dysfunction at its finest.'

And we cannot wait to watch it.

Alongside Ferrell and Rudd, who also serve as executive producers, The Shrink Next Door will star WandaVision's Kathryn Hahn as Phyllis, Marty's younger sister, and Casey Wilson (known for her stint on Saturday Night Life) stars as 'Bonnie' - the wife of Dr. Herschkopf.

The eight-part series is now scheduled to make its global debut on Friday 12th November. The first three episodes will be available from that date, with each new episode dropping every Friday afterwards.

The series will drop exclusively on streaming service Apple TV+, which is just £4.99 a month and includes a seven day free trial.

In other TV news, our Line of Duty-sized hole in our viewing schedule looks set to be filled, as Vicky McClure has teamed up with Jed Mercurio once again for a brand new crime drama.

ITV's Trigger Point will focus on counter terrorism policing and the "extraordinary" work of the Metropolitan Police Bomb Disposal Squad.

Vicky plays as frontline officer Lana Washington, while Adrian Lester (Life, Trauma) stars as Joel Nutkins, who works alongside her. Both ex-military, the pair are close, having served together in Afghanistan.
