Ever since it was announced that Sex and the City was returning, fans have waited patiently to see which familiar faces would return for the sequel series And Just Like That....
Now we officially know that Aidan Shaw will be back, played by original series star John Corbett. Furniture designer Aidan is also known as being Carrie's "the one that got away" which leads to lots of questions about how his and Carrie's relationship will unfold in the present day.
John Corbett himself confirmed that he will be back alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon and we cannot wait. Speaking to Page Six, the actor revealed: "I'm going to do the show" and said his return is "very exciting".

When pressed to spill how many episodes he'll star in, John teased: "I think I might be in quite a few."
The news comes as Sarah Jessica Parker's posted a cryptic comment under an Instagram post confirming John Corbett's return. She said: "I'm not saying one way or another whether our beloved Mr. Corbett's interview deals in facts or fiction but the response is amazing to read..."

Aidan was one of the most loved characters from the original HBO series and he appeared in seasons 3 and 4 and had a one-off guest appearance in season 6.

Unfortunately, things didn't work out between Carrie and Aidan thanks to Mr. Big and after reconciling, Carrie turned down Aidan's proposal. Aidan was last seen in Sex and the City 2.
Back in January, HBO Max - the streaming network that will air And Just Like That... - confirmed that the show will not include Kim Cattrall's Samantha. SJP confirmed the news to a fan on Instagram following the announcement, writing: "No, I don't dislike her. I've never said that. Never would. Samantha isn't part of this story. But she will always be part of us. No matter where we are or what we do. X (sic)."
According to Page Six, actor Chris Noth, 66, will not be reprising the role as Mr. Big either. Mr Big and Carrie famously dated on the show before marrying in the 2008 Sex And The City film that followed. Their marriage issues were then laid bare in the movie's 2010 sequel, Sex And The City 2.
