Selling Sunset's Heather Rae Young has officially announced she is leaving the Oppenheim Group LA to start a new branch in Newport, California.

Jason Oppenheim revealed he's asked Heather, 31, to open the brokerage alongside a best friend of his, when speaking to Fox News.

He said: "Heather is going to be working out of that office and my best friend is going to be managing the office.

"The office that we're looking at is insane. I mean, it's insane. So hopefully I'll be signing the lease soon."

Jason went on to explain that the brokerage was getting "a lot more listings" in that area, and so it felt like the "next area for us to expand".

Heather's boss will be experienced real estate whizz Matthew Peters, who is listed as Managing Broker at Newport's branch.

"It's been a long time coming because we've been very careful about expanding but this is the right move for us," Jason added. "This is the right location."

While Heather's departure from the LA office marks the end of an era, fans shouldn't worry about her being gone from the show altogether.

The brokerage assured fans: "She will be based out of the LA office as always and will be popping into the Orange County office."

They added that she "won't be going anywhere" despite being based elsewhere.

The Oppenheim Group has seen a lot of shake ups of late, including the exit of Davina Potratz

Davina recently announced she was joining rival agency, Douglas Elliman in Beverly Hills.

"I'm really excited to be a part of Douglas Elliman and their very sophisticated and global new development division.

"My background is in new development sales and marketing, so this is just a wonderful opportunity for me. It's just very in tune with my skills.

But despite Davina moving on to work with one of the company's rivals, Oppenheim CEO and founder Jason Oppenheim said he only wants the best for his former employee, and hopes they can work together again in the future. Aw!

Not long ago, we also found out that Brett Oppenheim is also jumping ship onto a new venture, Oppenheim Real Estate.

But Jason has since quashed suspicion this could mean he won't appear on the show.
