Chilling New True Crime 'Murder By The Sea' Drops Next Month

True crime addicts seeking out their next binge watch should look no further than season five of Murder by the Sea.

Dropping Tuesday 8th September at 10pm on CBS, the series shines a spotlight on some of the most terrifying murders which took place at British seaside resorts.

New host, criminal historian and author Dr Nell Darby, will turn her attention to locations which, despite their associations with holiday getaways, have played host to high profile crimes.

Season five will see Dr Darby explore a range of murder cases, including a local hotelier-turned-killer, a gruesome feud between two lighthouse keepers and a deathly love triangle.

Drawing on her background as a criminal historian, Dr Darby will use her knowledge and understanding of killers and their tendencies to make observations about their crimes.

Across the series - which is produced by Monster Films - viewers will follow the author and presenter as she travels to seaside towns like Bournemouth, Newport, Dundee and Jersey.

Also landing on CBS next month is season three of chilling series Evidence of Evil, which places some of the most startling crimes from past two decades under the microscope.

Through interviews, reconstructions and archive footage, the series builds a wide-ranging picture of the crimes, offering insight from investigators, police, scientists along the way.

Hitting CBS on Wednesday 9th September at 10pm, season three will reinvestigate one of the most intriguing serial killers in American history.The series - produced by Peninsula Television - will also delve into the death of a hugely popular doctor and an abduction case that gained global press attention.

Season five of Murder by the Sea premieres on CBS on Tuesday 8th September at 10pm. Season three of Evidence of Evil begins on CBS on Wednesday 9th September at 10pm.
