'Save Me Too' With Suranne Jones Starts Next Week

We can't wait for this nail-biting series to pick back up.

Fans of Sky Atlantic's Save Me starring Suranne Jones get excited, because next week the sequel Save Me Too finally lands on the channel.

The second instalment of the British drama will pick up 17 months after the first series left off and Nelly Rowe (Lennie James) still hasn't given up looking for daughter Jody.

And we expect it to be as nail biting as the last series, especially since whilst looking for his daughter in series 1, not only was Nelly accused of abducting his estranged daughter to begin with, he ended up finding someone else's child, Grace (Olive Grayy) whilst trying to discover the truth about his own.

But it's not just where the last series left off that's exciting us, because the show is also from the award-winning producers of Line of Duty, which is as you all know, epic, plus, the trailer for the second series looks gripping.

The trailer depicts a fraught Nelly continuing the hunt for his daughter alongside his ex and Jody's mum, Claire (Suranne) - some of the scenes show he's more desperate than ever.

We hear him shout "She's not dead" over and over and see him inside a car with bloody knuckles looking seriously distressed.

We just hope he finds her this time around, but we're not sure if something terrible might be in store for Nelly instead, as Sky says of the programme: "Could Grace provide clues to Jody's fate, or will she derail Nelly's desperate quest to find his daughter - with potentially terrible consequences for him and those around him?"

The series will see Nelly still desperately hunting for his daughter (

We can't wait to see what happens when it lands on Wednesday and see some new faces join the cast too, including Adrian Edmonson, who plays Gideon, who we will see on trial for the sexual exploitation of Grace and his wife Jennifer, Lesley Manville, who will have to come to terms with the monster she married. Will she stand by him?

Save Me Too will air episode one on Sky Atlantic on April 1st.
