Fans of Supermarket Sweep are in for a treat as Rylan Clark-Neal has confirmed that the much-loved '90s game show is making a comeback.

The X Factor star turned presenter took to social media to reveal all Tuesday night, and fans were delighted to learn he will be taking on hosting duties.

Classic game show Supermarket Sweep (1993 to 2001) was originally fronted by the late Dale Winton, who passed away in April last year.

The iconic series sees contestants answering a series of questions to exchange for time for when they are unleashed into the supermarket aisles to grab as many items as possible. The team with the most expensive trolley at the end of the game is crowned winner.

"‪Been waiting a while to say this but it's finally time to GO WILD IN THE AISLES ONCE AGAIN!" Rylan exclaimed on his Instagram, along with a promotional picture of him surrounded by supermarket purchases.

He added: "Supermarket Sweep is back, and I can't wait for you to CHECK IT OUT. See you soon on @itv2 #SupermarketSweep."

There's no official confirmation for when fans can expect the show to hit screens from ITV2 just yet. But it goes without saying that fans cannot wait for the reboot.

"I couldn't think of anyone better to continue the show. I know you'll do Dale justice whilst putting your own spin on it," shared one, while another declared: "This has made my birthday!!!!!!"

The TV presenter almost leaked news of the reboot earlier this year, but luckily the broadcaster was able to keep things under wraps.

Reports suggest that the show will retain elements from the original, while Rylan will introduce a few of his twists of his own.

The 20-episode reboot will also reportedly run in a prime time slot over four weeks later this year. Supermarket Sweep originally ran from 1993 to 2001, before it was briefly revived back in 2007.

Where do we sign up to have a go?!
