Ryan Thomas Offered 'Professional Help' By Celebrity Big Brother Following 'Assault' Claims

Celebrity Big Brother star Ryan Thomas has been offered 'professional support' by show bosses following claims he 'assaulted' former housemate Roxanne Pallett.

Emmerdale star Roxanne had accused Ryan of 'repeatedly punching her in the ribs' during a play fight in Thursday's episode of the show.

After appearing distressed by what she claimed had happened, Roxanne then asked for her co-star to be removed from the house.

Channel 5 bosses then issued Ryan with a formal warning, and he was told a repeat of his behaviour would lead to him being booted from the star-studded Borehamwood residence.

Following the warning, Ryan was filmed breaking down in the Diary Room, and voiced his concerns that his career would be over as a result of the accusations made against him.

Having watched the upsetting scene, viewers were quick to react on Twitter, with many stating how worried they were for Ryan's welfare.

Another added: "Watching Ryan crying.. heartbreaking."

"Seeing him so upset was so wrong , Big brother could have easily put a stop to it," said a third.

And now show bosses have responded, and want to assure viewers that the necessary actions are being taken to ensure Ryan's well being.

"Big Brother puts into place appropriate support arrangements as required."

Following the drama, Roxanne decided to leave the Celebrity Big Brother house - a move which cast doubt upon whether or not she would receive her £75,000 fee.

Earlier today, the former Emmerdale actress appeared on the Jeremy Vine Show, where she apologised for her actions.

Roxanne will appear on tonight's episode of Celebrity Big Brother, where she will explain her side of the story to host Emma Willis.
