RuPaul's Drag Race is officially returning to the UK in 2021.

Yep, get ready kitty girls, because a start date has now been announced for the BBC show - and it's so soon.

Sharing a teaser post on Twitter, the Drag Race UK official account wrote: "Santa called and said you can have one present early.

"The first episode of #DragRaceUK series two lands on @bbciplayer on January 14th at 7PM."

Eeeeek.

Like many shows this year, Drag Race UK filming drew to a halt in March as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

But Alan Carr recently revealed the show continued production last month, and it is now completed and ready to sashay its way onto our tellies.

Season two is going to bring us 12 sickening queens, who are all battling to become the UK's second Drag Superstar.

Once again, Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton will be fronting the judging panel, and they'll be joined each week by iconic British celebs, including Vicar of Dibley star Dawn French.

TOWIE star Gemma Collins is also rumoured to be joining the show to judge the Snatch Game - although the BBC and World Of Wonder are currently keeping their cards close to their chests.

A January return for RuPaul's Drag Race UK is especially exciting seeing as it collides with the launch of RuPaul's Drag Race season 13 (the original US series).

As a special New Year's treat, the next season of RuPaul's Drag Race will premiere on January 1st next year.

Yep, that means we get a UK and a US season in the period of two weeks. BAM!

While we don't know the names of the British Queens competing yet, we know the US lineup - and it's a good'n.

Denali, Gottmik, Elliott with 2 Ts, Joey Jay, Kahmora Hall, Kandy Muse, Lala Ri and Olivia Lux will be fighting to be America's Next Drag Superstar, alongside Rosé, Symone, Tamisha Iman, Tina Burner and Utica.

Let's hope they all have enough charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.
