The first official trailer for RuPaul's Drag Race UK has dropped and the queens are paying tribute to the BBC's classic sitcoms in the hilarious teaser.

Spoofing the golden age of British TV, the trailer begins with Liverpudlian queen The Vivienne hilariously accusing her fellow contestants of "stealing her facekini".

But amid the canned laughter Mama Ru summons her girls and warns: "Hello, hello, hello it's Mama Ru here in search of the UK's very first Drag Superstar. Prepare for the ride of your life."

And a ride indeed is in store as the studio quickly turns into a dancefloor and the hopeful queens try their best to show off their talent.

You better believe the trailer has got us all kinds of excited for the search for the UK's first drag superstar, which kicks off on Thursday, 3rd October.

"And before anyone asks, yes, we would be thrilled to have Meghan Markle join us, as we are already preparing a 'Royal-Mother-To-Be' runway challenge."

While Ru is at the helm of the series, she is joined on the judging panel by Michelle Visage and chat show host Alan Carr, who will be rotating with Graham Norton every other week.

Ru has also lined up an impressive list of guest judges, including Geri Horner, Andrew Garfield, Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams, Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall, pop star Cheryl and 60s supermodel Twiggy.
