On Monday night, Roxanne Pallett was interviewed by Emma Willis during Celebrity Big Brother's surprise eviction show, after she left the house in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The interview focused on the soap star's allegations towards fellow housemate Ryan Thomas, as she accused him of 'punching her repeatedly'.

During the chat, Roxanne could be seen to become increasingly upset and apologetic about the accusations, as Emma highlighted the implications it could have caused for Ryan.

The 35-year-old actress admitted to Emma that she felt she was the 'most hated girl in Britain', and that she was worried about her future.

Emma told her: "You could have ruined him."

An emotional Roxanne replied: "It's a lot to deal with. I'm the most hated girl in Britain right now.

"I am scared about the future... I just want to say I'm sorry.

"I needed to come and tell everyone that I got it wrong. I'm human. I made a massive, massive, horrible mistake."

The four-minute long interview was prerecorded, as Channel 5 decided not to put Roxanne in front of a live audience.

Roxanne explained that she 'couldn't prove the way the punch felt', and that it 'hurt', but that the more she thought about the event in the house, the more she convinced herself that Ryan meant to do it.

She said: "How it felt when he did it, it hurt. I can't prove a feeling, no one can.

"But the more I thought, the more it became heightened. I convinced myself that he meant to do it."

Emma also questioned Roxanne on why she initially laughed off the incident, but the actress said she realised why the public reacted the way they did after watching the footage back.

Roxanne said: "I saw what every person saw. I don't blame anyone for thinking, 'Why did she joke it off?'

"I am more shocked at myself. I need to think about why I used humour when something bothered me in my mind.

"I've asked myself why I didn't I go and confront Ryan.

"I convinced myself that it was done with malice. It wasn't - I know it wasn't now."

She continued: "Seeing the footage of Ryan in the Diary Room all distressed... I agree fully and understand with every single person's reaction and perception.

"I would have been the same, if I was at home watching it.

"I believed my own story. I felt genuinely disturbed that he had invaded my personal space. I was wrong, massively wrong."

Rounding off the interview, Emma asked Roxanne if she would forgive herself. The Emmerdale actress replied that 'she would like to', adding that she was disappointed in herself for using words like 'woman beater'.

It seemed to end quite awkwardly, with Emma pulling out her earpiece and thanking the film crew. Roxanne looked clearly uncomfortable while waiting to leave the set.

The interview aired after Roxanne was quizzed on The Jeremy Vine Show, where she issued her first apology to Ryan, his friends and his family.
