The fifth season of Riverdale will be extra long, due to the fact it will also include the last few episodes of Season 4.

This is down to production being shut down back in March after a team member came into contact with somebody who had tested positive for Covid-19.

The first few episodes will show the group's graduation and prom as they leave Riverdale High, before moving forward by seven years as planned for Season 5.

But what will the future have in store?!

Well, fans have been treated to so many teasers in the run up to the season dropping - and let's just say it looks dramatic. In the trailer, Veronica can be seen in tears, explaining: "Something happened between Betty and Archie".

As we know, Betty and Archie kissed last season, and it looks like Veronica could be set to find out on prom night.

All the drama.

Meanwhile, we also see Betty and Jughead visiting Bret in prison. "Something's coming, and it's going to hit you like a Mack truck," he tells them. Elsewhere, the group are trying to figure out who is sending the creepy, disturbing videos, and viewers also see an unknown person dragging a knife along the face of Jellybean (Jughead's little sister).

Creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has also shared a very creepy first look snap of the upcoming season. "Nothing stays buried forever... #Riverdale Season Five coming soon," the post read, alongside a series of emojis including a key, a graduation hat and an engagement ring.

The post featured an image of what appeared to be a dead person resurrecting out of a misty river - but what does it all mean?!

With lockdown until mid-February at the earliest, this binge-watch couldn't come at a better time!
