'Riverdale' Producers Reveal Veronica Lodge Is Getting A Half-Sister In Season 4 - And She's 'Dangerous'
Riverdale is set to return to UK screens tomorrow (Thursday, 10th October) and it's been revealed that there's even more surprises in store for the gang when Veronica Lodge's half-sister Hermoisa shows up.
Interesting - especially since Veronica is the reason her crooked businessman father Hiram (Mark Consuelos) is behind bars.
Confirming the news at New York City Comic Con, show runner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa announced that the character will be played by Mishel Prada and assured fans that she comes with Lodge traits.
He teased: "She's just like daddy but a woman, so more dangerous."
Mishel, who previously starred on Starz series Vida, confirmed the news on her Instagram by sharing a snap with dollar bills and matches from Veronica's club, Le Bon Nuit.
She penned alongside the pic: "So... I've been spending some time in Riverdale lately :) '' can't wait for you to meet Hermosa Lodge".
The news comes as the teen noire drama dropped a brand-new trailer, which gave fans a glimpse of what's in store for the residents of Riverdale.
The trailer, which debuted at Comic Con in New York this weekend, gives a few clues about what lies ahead for Archie and co.

The fourth season starts with Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) receiving a devastating call about his father Fred.
The character has notably been written out of the show after the actor who played him, Luke Perry, died in March aged 52, after a suffering a stroke.
Sad scenes from his memorial play in the trailer, and we see Archie endeavour to turn the boxing gym into a coaching school for kids.
After Luke's death, it was announced that the first episode of season four, titled 'Chapter Fifty-Eight: In Memoriam', would be a tribute episode to the former cast member.
Speaking to TV Line about the finer details, show runner Roberto revealed the episode would not begin with a recap as former series have.
"After we finished the episode, everyone said, 'You know what? You don't really need that,'" he said.
"The producers also wanted a little bit of extra time, so we took out the 'previously on'... We wanted to let the episode breathe a little."
Riverdale season four is set to premiere on Netflix UK on 10th October 2019 at 8am.
