The second series of Ricky Gervais' dark comedy drama, After Life returned to Netflix on Friday and fans were so impressed, they've already been calling for a third instalment.
Taking to Twitter to explain they'd "binge-watched [it] in one night" viewers have urged the 58-year-old comedian to "break his two series rule" for the emotional show, which left fans both sobbing and laughing.
Now, Ricky has explained he would love to do a third, but worries about the pressure of a follow-up.
"I've been saying for a year now I've never had a reaction like it and that grew and grew," he said in a live stream.
"I'd love to do a season three for the first time ever, it looks like it's going to go down a storm, so if this reaction carries on then yes.
"The better it goes down the worse it is for me, you can do something f***ing amazing, and everyone goes: 'Oh god, it's the best thing ever, 10/10.'
"But if you do something else that is 9.5/10 people are like: 'It's f***ing awful, this is the worst show on television', so that's what goes through my mind."
The emotional comedy drama centres on local newspaper writer Tony (played by Ricky Gervais) who is grieving for his wife Lisa (Kerry Godliman) who has lost her battle with cancer.
Happy go lucky Tony becomes bitter and resentful over what he has lost, angry at the world around him and everyone in it. In response to the crushing grief, he resolves to do whatever he wants, which becomes problematic for those who love him and want to help him come through his grief.
In Season 2, Tony is still struggling, but he's doing his best to restart his life and be a better person. The weight of his grief is intensified by the threat that he could lose his job, with the local newspaper at risk of being shut down.
All the main cast members have returned, including Kerry Godliman (Lisa), Tom Basden (Matt), Tony Way (Lenny), David Bradley (Tony's dad), Ashley Jensen (Nurse), Penelope Wilton (Anne), David Earl, Joe Wilkinson, Mandeep Dhillon, Jo Hartley, Roisin Conaty, Tim Plester and Diane Morgan.
If you've not binged the second season already, we recommend starting ASAP.
After all, a third could soon be on the way...
